Choat to address “State of the City” of Trussville at the monthly luncheon

TRUSSVILLE – Mayor Buddy Choat will deliver his annual State of the City address at the monthly luncheon on Thursday, October 21 at the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will take place in the exhibition hall of the Trussville Civic Center.
Mayor of Trussville since 2016, Choat has led the city through a period of extraordinary growth and activity, including major advancements in downtown revitalization efforts and the development of the Trussville Entertainment District.
âHosting the mayor for this event is a big deal for the chamber,â said June Mathews, executive director of the chamber. âThese are exciting times for our city, and there is always something new happening. This is a great opportunity to get the latest news direct from City Hall.
Lunch will start at 11:30 am. The program will start around 12:15 p.m. For those who only want to hear the mayor speak, table-less seating will be provided along the eastern wall of the meeting room.
Lunch will be provided by Trussville Gas & Water. Although there will be no charge for participants, reservations are required.
