Eminem saluting Bobby Shmurda during a show has people reacting

On Friday, Eminem and Snoop Dogg released their new single, “From The D To The LBC,” along with a partially animated video that shows them transforming into NFT Bored Ape. So it’s only fitting that they performed the song together at last week’s NFT-centric ApeFest 2022 in New York City. But a video of Eminem leaving the stage after the performance has people talking, and it’s not about NFT.

As Em walks away, he waves to a few people who were watching the set from the side of the stage. Cordae was among them, who gets a big hug when Slim Shady notices him and they exchange brief words. Then, just as Em is about to continue walking, Bobby Shmurda, who was standing with Cordae, catches Eminem’s eye, yelling, “Big homie!” and the two stand and give each other a quick hug as Em walks away and Shmurda wears a big smile.

Given that Eminem and Cordae have already collaborated on remixes of “Killer” and “Parables (Remix)”, people are speculating on Twitter whether this means Em and Shmurda might have a track on deck? “Listen…a collaboration between Eminem and Bobby Shmurda. I would invest,” one person said. “I can’t possibly just watched a video of Bobby Shmurda dapping Eminem,” another added.

Meanwhile, other people laugh that Eminem nearly ran past Shmurda, saying things like, “Eminem Straight up didn’t know it was Bobby Shmurda standing next to Cordae last night in behind the scenes of ApeFest2022.”

Either way, the sheer happiness on the face of Bobby Shmurda (a dude who just spent almost seven years in prison and is back) having a moment with Eminem, is something anyone who with half a heart can get.

Cordae is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
