Miami looking to address key areas vs. MTSU

The Miami Hurricanes will look to show growth and improvement today with UM suffering a 17-9 loss at Texas A&M last week.

Miami (2-1) will wrap up its non-conference roster by hosting Middle Tennessee State (2-1) at Hard Rock Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST and the game will be televised on ACC Network.

UM is a 25.5-point favorite, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

MTSU lost the season opener to James Madison, 44-7, but rebounded with back-to-back wins over Colorado State and Tennessee State.

The Blue Raiders are led by head coach Rick Stockstill, who is in his 17th season in that role. Stockstill is 103-99 over that streak with a conference record of 75-49.

Mario Cristobal coached many matches against Stockstill, during his time at FIU from 2007 to 2012 and the two programs were enemies in the Sun Belt. Cristobal was 2-4 against MTSU in those games.

The Blue Raiders and Hurricanes will meet on the football field for the third time in school history, but the first since 1932. The Blue Raiders and Canes played in 1931 and 1932, with MTSU winning both contests .
